Heath’s biography
Heath has been coaching on the professional WTA and ATP tour for the past 9 years. Before that in 1994 Heath opened ACE Tennis Academy in Atlanta, Georgia USA and grew ACE Academy into one of the largest tennis academies in the world encompassing 8 locations throughout 4 states in the South Eastern United States consisting of 32 tennis coaches and over 500 full time students. Heath developed and patented the ACE System of coaching which is a complete player developmental system consisting of specific technique, tactics, physical, and mental training programs. Through the use of his ACE System Heath’s private students won over 20 International and National titles including 15 gold balls in the U.S. and throughout the world between 1997-2002 until Heath closed the academy in order to travel full time on the professional tour with his wife Lindsay. Heath had 8 private students from 1996-2002 all of which achieved no less than a top 10 ranking in the United States and 5 of the 8 achieved a top 50 or better ITF junior world ranking except one who achieved a high ranking of 13 in the United States.
The ACE System of coaching has proven itself to be an extremely effective method for developing world class players. The ACE System is not prejudice toward body type, athletic ability, nor personality type as all of Heath’s students consisted of different body types, abilities, and personalities. Six out of eight of Heath’s private students earned a professional ranking in the top 500 in the world and two went on to achieve a top 100 ranking in the world and many are still pursuing professional careers on tour. Every tour player that Heath has worked with for more than 1 year has achieved a top 100 in the world ranking and all players that worked with Heath for less than 1 year at least moved a minimum of 140 spots on the ATP or WTA rankings while working with Heath. Heath has never had a professional tour student’s ranking drop...ever. Heath’s current students consist of current WTA Tour Player Lindsay Lee-Waters (his wife and co-founder of this site),ATP Tour Player Alex Vlaski, and ATP Tour Player Rubin Statham. In 2005 Heath Coached current WTA Tour Player Ashley Harkleroad out of retirement improving her from a ranking of 300 to 75 in the world in only 8 months time. In 2006 Heath coached Alex Bogomolov Jr From a ranking of 287 to 120 in 11 months time and along the way he even defeated current top 5 ranked player and current Australian Open finalist, Fernando Gonzalez. Remember anyone can reach any goal in life as long as they are willing to work their very hardest for it.
